if you can get to Straughn on the west coast, take one of the eco-tourism boat trips up the Gordon and Franklin rivers and see a most amazing cool temperate rainforest - the reason why myself and hundreds more fought against a dam from being built to destroy it all back in 82/83. Tasmania is so compact it's possible to circumnavigate the island (using major roads) in a day.
