You do realise that some firewalls won't allow users to access the 8500 port :) Also, the script of course has to always have the 8500 port in each action request or call to the cfc. (ie cfinvoke).

P.S
You make my brain hurt when you cut a long story short, details my good man... details, like that time you found that rash and thought it would be wortwhile to tell everyone about it ;)

Hey,

I swear this is the bain of my existence. I discovered something last night that didn't really make sense to me and I had another programmer
with me to see what was happening. I would like someone to confirm or deny this programming (possible) glitch.

I have been having some serious issues logging into an application using the CFMX webserver using port 8500 bla bla bla. Long story short it would
drop the variables that you send over through the cflogin. Got it...

NOW.....

I installed Windows 2kPro on a box CFMX pointing to the other webserver running IIS 5.0 Put the exact application code and database over to that server
and the login worked perfectly. Has anyone had this happen to them?

Does having an application trying to login to localhost:8500 cause problems for the new cflogin script? (personally I think this would be silly but its the only thing I could think of).
