heh :) CFAUSSIE to me is a basically a community outlet, i.e. there are times for On topic problems or issues, and then there a times to break away at the mundane coding we do day in day out :) (everyone needs a friday distraction);
I've been a lone gunman many times in companies who just think the web is this big machine that stores websites, so in reality allot of the lonegunman may be like me and use this as a positive outlet of internet related topics or geeky humour that only other devs in the field may get or understand. I haven't received complaints or emails / icq msgs from Geoff saying "stop the f3((ing OT posts" and generally speaking, I always prefix the subject with an OT: for those who scan before they read? so its no harm really? If you want me to stop, just say the word and i will :D Having said that, I rarely use this list as my sole salvation as I've found you can ask a specific question like "I need to know how to make a query fart, I have inserted the correct sql statements etc" and without fail, someone replies with "have you tried flash" So yeah, while I get jokingly crucified for my OT, atleast I admit its OT.. while others just come up with replies that resemble "my dress is pink, my shoes are blue" type "what the foo!"
