Just to extend on this, you may not need to map the drives you could use \\machine_name\c$.  You would still need to have a valid account on each machine for CF to use.

There is no way of doing this with CF on any client outside your network.
I would guess your best chance would be to try and delete the files through the network, if you have access to their machine via the network!
I.e. on the machine that is running CF server you map network paths to all the drives that you require to delete files from.
However, saying all this, I have never actually tried it, but it sounds like it could work.

We are working in a controlled os/browser environment, and I was wondering if there is a simple way to delete a file from a user's C drive using CF?
