Hi Geoff,

> - anyone actually uses this wireless stuff

Right now (sitting on a cliff top overlooking a national park, about 50
metres from the house and wireless access point).

Tokyo's Narita airport has a great set-up so you can email/IM/surf while
waiting for your flight, and quite a few coffee shops in New York and
Washington have wireless and a better environment than most of the internet
cafes. I haven't seen many people taking advantage of it though (uber geeks
excepted).

You can find hotspots in Sydney at

Range and speed can be affected by interference (audio systems, video
transmitters, wiring in the walls and the like - hearing impaired loops
might be another cause of interference.) While inside will be fine, this
might reduce the range/speed for those connecting outside the theatre
(grabbing email etc).

Also, don't forget your charger. I've noticed (depending on wireless use) up
to double battery consumption.

Regards,

Ben
