It's next to Kings Cross... which has plenty of, umm, entertainment. A mate
who used to work at one of the hotels there used to say that you need a
sign in your neck when you're walking through the main street, with
something along the lines of "I haven't got change, I'm not looking for a
good time and I don't want to buy drugs". So it all depends on what's your
definition of 'entertainment' :-D

Absolutely. There's a couple of pubs right across the road from the place.
And I'm happy to go wherever the crowd wants to go...

> The only problem I see with the rocks is its a bit of a mission from the
venue.

Yes it is. On foot it would be a hike through the Domain / Botanical
Gardens and past the Opera house & Circular Quay. On the other hand, there
are buses going from right next to the hotel up to circular quay. And
getting a cab wouldn't be all that expensive.
But I'm also quite happy to drink somewhere closer to the venue (I live in
Paddington anyway).

Japanese food sounds pretty good too... although I eat Japanese almost
every day (girlfriend is japanese). One condition though: nobody, I mean
nobody throws food at me. Even my girlfriend doesn't do that (although I'm
sure she has often considered it) :-D

Cheers

To quote the propaganda source

"Located in the heart of Sydney's entertainment, premier restaurants and
cafe precinct's. "

The venue is right square in the middle of darlinghurst and kings cross.
I'm
sure we can find a pub at a push.
