WoOOOOhoooo

Well I just got home, had my shower and time to reflect on the last two days
at MXDU. Aside from the three wankers who tried to hit on the three girls I
was with, and who failed miserably... man I never realised how cheesy men
can be when doing the "girl" impress thing.... But... MXDU by all accounts
and I can fully concur, WAS THE HUGE SUCCESS WE ALL ANTICIPATED.

To those whom I meet, but didn't get time to really sit down and have a
chat, I apologise as I had a pretty full agenda and I really wanted to see
everything, so for that I apologise!

I also would have to say a big Thanks to Geoff/Andrew and the Daemon team
for a hella good time / event, you guys pulled it off and all those days
stressing out have paid off in the end !!!.... So Geoff, about that charting
solution *hehehehehe*..

I Meet Ben! w000t! yes I touched him and sure I was asked to stop grabbing
his ass, but hey, fame, fortune and stalking are all the same :D but
seriously, I had a good chat with ol Ben, and man this guys just a legend..
more so in that he can take a Boring subject like XML and keep your
interest.. natural speaker that man, and we should all pray he never goes
into Sales as I know I'd be a fleeced git by the time his sales pitch is
finished.

Jesse Warden's like a tightly wound spring waiting to just detonate, despite
my shock at how animated he truly was, he did a good job in the presentation
and nailed it well. Andrew Muller YOU ARE a Freak man, but yeah thanks for
the snippets of your hidden secrets and I hope to hear more about the
ongoing's :D

Brandens keynote set it all off, and I enjoyed his walkthrough of flash,
then, now and the future... you can see why he's respected around the world
and to his credit for fighting jet lag and taking the time to not only do
the preso but spend time with all.

Macromedia guys where all awesome, its nice to know that they are all really
approachable and just get a buzz out of the MX Products... Oh before I
ramble on, I pitched this idea to Robin (mind you it was beer`o`clock time
so its usually the hour of crap being shot back and forth).. but.. Devnet
should really have a "MX" TV Show using FlashCOm or something, to really
keep us all CNN but MXed :D

Really had a blast, and I think that we all would of atleast walked away
with one main thing and that is "INSPIRATION"... FlashMX is the core, even
more so and I think it also toppled my hesitations with making sites
semi-flash compliant? you know what.. lets all just say "F*)@K waiting for
the world to decide on whether they want FlashMX or not on their web
browsers.. lets just kick into it and lets just make all these kool concepts
that Branden was yabbering about come true by MAKING them go FlashMX... let
them cry, but when their experience is that much richer... watch them come
forth with praise.

FlashMX / FlashCom - To quote Andrew "...its a sleeping giant..." and I 100%
agree even more so.

Anyway I'm posting reviews on my blog (http://macrofun.pvpers.com) aswell as
I thought I would mention to those who missed the events in the past three
days that Marc Dimmick has passed the torch onto Barry Moore (Nat CFUG
Manager). I think Marc's done an awesome job in keeping CFUG in Australia
and happening, and I know working from working with Barry that I think 2003
will be a good year to roadtest some ideas :D .... I have also been given
the task by Marc to revive some life back into the CFUG sites, and with
Barry holding a big stick and my weekly paycheque hostage, I think this will
be the one project I _actually_ finish. (FYI: I get asked to help out with
projects or I stupidly volunteer for them, but I loose focus and never
finish them.. and that's basically the kid at a theme park syndrome in that
you just have to ride all the rides as quick as you can!)... So I'm all ears
to any ideas, suggestions concepts, freakish things you need or want.. bring
it to the table, as I know STEVE has tonnes so come on guys/gals bring some
life into our MX shit.

Ok, so that's me and Sorry again to those who I missed but so many sights,
so little time... its MXDU babey.

P.S
LETS HAVE ANOTHER MXDU SAME TIME NEXT YEAR, HELL I'LL START SAVING NOW...

Scott Barnes
MXDU Whore.
