Ben's SQL book is one of the best little books around. I asked him about it last week and he tells me that it's gonna be updated.

Present version has SQL server & Oracle specific examples, third edition will include MYSQL examples as well.

Darren,
Ben Forta SQl in 10 minutes is very good. Not that complete but
gives you most major differences.

Subject: [cfaussie] database independence

Has anyone got or know of any good references that show you what are the
actual differences in sql code between different vendors databases? eg MSSQL, Oracle, MySQL, Postgres, Informix, etc.
I've done a bit of googling, but there's a lot of non-relevant stuff coming
up.

I've got a whole bunch of reasonably straightforward sql statements, and I
want to be able to know what kind of things are going to cause me problems,
or even better, be able to regular expression the simpler differences.

Any ideas?
