I'm kinda new to this list, but I have been told that Macintosh form submission has
been a recurring problem for discussion...
This is one solution to the problem (tested on 4.5 and MX, W2k Server)

<cfset tempVar = Right(evaluate("form." & variables.myfieldname),4)>
<cfif tempVar neq ".tmp">
<cfset "form.#myFieldname#" = Trim(evaluate("form." & variables.myfieldname))>
</cfif>
</cfloop>
</cfif>
This code needs to be included before any form fields are used in a page. I have it
in a module and I just call this at the top of the file using the form variables (it
overwrites anything in the form scope). <cffile> works fine with this, on a Windows
server anyway...
