Steve,

If you want a nicer way to block popup adds - Try Mozilla or Phoenix - I
know phoenix definitely has and I think the latest versions a whitelist
lets you allow popups on some sites (i.e. cfadmin) but not on any others.

IMHO I also don't think that the firewall is the right place to be blocking
ads? Seems like the firewall would have to parse the code to look for
popup calls and change them - this is not something I would be happy with a
firewall doing.

Hi Steve,
That's because CFMX admin pops up a "Welcome to ColdFusion" window after
you
log on. This so-called ad-blocking feature is really stoopid. They can't
really tell what are ads so they just block it. It's as smart as
programming
your TV to go blank when the sound level goes beyond a certain level. I had
a similar problem with Symantec Desktop Firewall which had this "feature"
turned on by default. After some poking around, you can turn it off.

Regards: Ayudh
