I've
used Contribute from time to time.
The
best approach is to create some Dreamweaver templates with limited editable
regions. The content editors for the site get permission only to create pages
using these templates and they can only put content into the editable regions
you have defined.
If you
need to create a more complex area in the site with more dynamic content coming
from a database, you should already have the whole site set-up in
Dreamweaver so building those extra dynamic areas shouldn't be too much of a
problem.
The
thing to be aware of when using contribute is that it requires an FTP login to
access the server. Unless you want your content editors to be able to mess
around with all sorts of areas of the site, you will need to make sure you have
FTP accounts set-up so that they login directly to the directory where they will
be storing content.
On the
whole, contribute is an excellent tool for creating and managing small sites
that do not need searchability, and more advanced content management features
like automatic publishing.

Hi All,
Anyone out there have user's
managing content via MM Contribute? I am after people's feedback on the
product, pros and cons.
We have a number of non-techo
people needing to make use of a basic CMS and the business folk are currently
evaluating Contribute.
Thanks,
Sarah.
