Scott,

I was meant to reply last night but opted for some sleep instead.

Good work on the design. I also agree with your philosophy on 'the right
mix of Flash and HTML. But if the logic and the presentation is
sufficiently separated it shouldn't be too hard to make a fallback HTML
version.

Anyway, put me down for some CF / XML / HTML / CSS work. How do you intend
to split up the work between volunteers and coordinate the development
effort (ie: on this list, some other mailing list, ordinary email)? What
about access to code?

Cheers,
Vik

Heyas

Well I got sidetracked from a specific purpose tonight and ended up doing
the base shell for the CFUG.ORG.AU site, thought i would run it past
everyone.

I choose the "ice" blue look as it reflects the CFIDE/ADMINSTRATOR style of

Features of CFUG.ORG.AU
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
These features are subject to change depending on my level of enthusiasm,
time and support from the overall community. If you wish to submit a
feature
request, or wish to volunteer .. please reply to this thread with details
of
what you will be looking to inject into cfug.org.au
These features are also not in any specific order..
-  Case Study of the week, Much like MM site of the day, only per week it
would be nice to reflect on work we as a community have done, and reasons
for why we did a application / site in a certain way.
- News (Global or By State)
- Hosting Plans (Selection of Hosts that can update/add there hosting
packages / deals)
- Events Calendar
- Mailing List (Unsubscribe / Subscribe - State by State)
- Dev Agency Listing (State)
- Training / Certification Information
- Job / Contract Tender Postings
- Custom Tags / UDF / CFC Library
- FlashMX Component Library *(yes another one.. this is maily for
Application development based components)*
- CFUG Managers Area (Used for State Manager control of mailing lists etc)
- Blog Aggregator for CFAUSSIE`ns
- Reviews Area (More on this later, hey.. don't want to give too much away)
- Developers Skill-O-Meter (Same concept as my skill-o-meter on
spidaweb.com, but allows developers to rate their skills for prospective
buyers of your service)
- Profile-O-Matic (When members contribute there profiles etc about
themselves, experience etc.. i'd be nice to just do random profiles of each
developer for all to see, get to know the brains/talent behind the
saltmines
miners)
- Articles (See something cool? write an article about it and save it in a
nice central area).
- Meeting Manager (Public Read Only / Managers can update meeting points,
presentation files etc etc)
