Would you care to define "tried to restore", and
"didn't seem to work"?

I have been given a backup file from a client
(sql server 7 - *.bak)
I have tried to restore it through enterprise
manager but it didnt seem to work,
Through query analyzer, it said that my version
of SQL was later (different) than the version that the backup file was made
from.
I downloaded Service pack three for SQL server
7...Now query analyzer comes up with the same issue, however my version is now
newer than original files server.
Any ideas.
