I think its to do with the fact that the Pulldown select boxes have a
complex makeup of some sort on Microsofts end. In that you notice that with
div control, you can basically move a layer over everything but pulldown
boxes..

Which REALLy pisses me off personally (but hey, form a que).

You could do a DHTML option (http://webfx.eae.net) has a widget that i think
is XBrowser compatible, and eric writes some solid code (not just widget
creation, but he keeps the widgets inline with making use of optimal
memory).
