Thanks,  I'm familiar with that site.  He has a typo
in his SQL BTW :-)

Hmmm how should I put this.... when someone says
"java" I'm not exactly filled with warm fuzzies.  I've
seen too many instabilities and performance problems
with java in the past.

If there was a native driver (is that what's known as
type 4?) for coldfusionMX/PostgreSQL I'd be a happier
bloke.
