I know we're not supposed to cross post, but didn't want anyone in Brisbane
to miss Barry's post just now to fugli. Also wanted to point out that it's
possible to bring your own laptop or double-up on PCs if demand slightly
exceeds spaces.

Robin Hilliard will be visiting Brisbane and running a Flash Communication
Server Workshop (see agenda below) on Wednesday March 19th.

The cost for the workshop will be $50.00 to cover room and PC costs. Any
extra funds will be donated to the local Macromedia user groups who are
responsible for making this workshop possible.

There are currently 8 seats available and this is strictly a first come
first served opportunity. You MUST REPLY TO [EMAIL PROTECTED] NOT this
list.

AGENDA

The purpose of the workshop is to build FCS development skills for
programmers with some basic Flash scripting experience. We don't usually
offer training like this for our products but Macromedia haven't released a
FCS training course yet, so this is gap-filling till the training arrives.

09:30 - 09:35 Kickoff, introductions (this gives time for flight
stuff-ups)
09:35 - 11:30 Robin waves hands about FCS, walk through components, then
using actionscript API to build a web call centre with
caller queues, pools of call centre operators, live video and chat. Talk
about current projects and ideas.
11:30 - 12:30 LUNCH and informal discussion
12:30 - 01:00 Install FCS trial server on machines
01:00 - 01:30 Class programming exercise - connect to server, shared
object, call client function from server
01:30 - 04:00 Project time - individuals or teams try out an idea with
assistance from Robin and class
04:00 - 04:30 Project review, wrap-up
