Hi Jeremy,

ActionScript for flashMX, the definitive guide (O'rielly) by colin moock is
absolutely brilliant.
It's good as a reference but it's brilliant for learning basic to
advanced actionscripting. There's a bunch of code etc on the
author's site, and the book itself is very well written, easy to
work through and is aimed at programming, not just tacking scripts
onto flash animations (as is the way a lot of books approach the
subject). And at the end of the day, the guy has testimonials from
all the other major authors of flash books saying his is the best
;) - macromedia apparently use his books as supplements to their
own documentation in house, and even the guys responsible for
   actionscript rave about it.
