Brad,

CFMX is unstable on Linux with Apache 1.3 as you need to apply the CFMX
updaters which require Apache2

Best option is to upgrade to Apache2 and apply the CFMX updaters. No
other options if you are going to use the site in production and want it
stable.

Subject: [cfaussie] CFMX Processes...

Hey Guys,

Is this a CFMX fault or normal??

We are running CFMX on Redhat Linux 7.3 with Apache 1.3. Yesterday I
noticed apache's and CF's performance deteriorate slightly, upon
investigation I sav that CF had over 730 processes, normally it has
about
95 processes. When i tried to restart CF it stalled and just kept
putting
............ on the screen, I started to kill off processes manually,
and
finally got it to stop and then start. I tried a restart then and it
worked fine (stopped and started normally). It is now fine and no
errors
exist.

Has anybody had this and may know the cause, is it a bug???

Thanks.
