Hi All,
Has anyone had any success with CFMX and foreign
characters?
Situation:
- Submission Form
- character set as UTF-8
- when submitting any 8bit characters over 128,
they are either being dropped (text haults at that character) OR characters are
being converted into bogus wingding like characters
This all perviously worked fine on CF5, as it
appears that CF converted the characters on the fly prior to submission to the
database, e.g. é
So either CFMX handles character sets differently
OR the JDBC driver is causing grief?
Anyone able to shed any light on
this?
Failing that, I'll simply run a function over the
submitted text and manually convert prior to inserting into the
database.
