take it from a former sound engineer, it's microphone technique. 

he's probably using a headset mic from his workstation or a cheap mic on a
desk mounted stand - somthing he's breathing into.

either way, it's not a decent condensor mic and he sorely needs a pop
filter!

is it's Breeze's compression that lost all the hi's out of his voice? (
-12db above about 6kHz) or the fact he's done it without a voice over booth?

Does that guys voice irritate anyone else?

Maybe it's 'cause I have earphones at work, but it sounds like the man has a
bad 
cold, and I can hear every wheeze and sniffle, and pause.

The release looks interesting however!
