You will have to set the secutiy permissions to the user to login before they can access the directory

In IIS, select the directory, right click and go to the security tab

Subject: [cfaussie] htaccess and IIS

Hey y'all,

I have to migrate a few sites currently hosted on a unix box over to a W2K IIS5 server.  The sites currently use htaccess files to authenticate users to various folders under each site.

Is there an equivalent thing to an htaccess file for use under IIS?
