Hi Tim,

    grab yourself an http tunneling app - there's loads of free ones
    around.  It will route your traffic through port 80 via a public
    server, (most of them encrypt your traffic) so it won't be as fast
    as you'd like but it means you can run anything like instant
    messaging, external pop/smtp and ftp etc.
