What about multiple calendars?
Yes you can have multiple calendars. Events can be categorised so you can set your calendar rule to only display events from certain categoires, therefore creating multiple calendars.
Then, of course, the ability for a user to create their own private calendars as well as ones for "groups" of people and/or public ones.
This shouldn't be a problem. You could allow users to add events to the system and could even create your custom rules to only show events that have been created by certain users, or created by users that belong to a certain group. This functionality won't be in the standard calendar rule, but there wouldn't be too much code change to get this working in a custom rule.
