OK, Ok,

I feel stupid now. Logic error. I combed through logs to see which queries
are being executed and an insert is being done at the end of the transaction
which makes my delete useless. At least it's fixed now.

I'd imagine you would get some error message if permissions were an issue,
but I think we are rapidly approaching "grasping at straws" point with this
one.
