many times. We think our proxy server is haunted - It's up the stream without a paddle
no, seriously. we've been having the occasional proxy glitch and we've seen this message before. from http://www.checkupdown.com/status/E502.html A server (not necessarily a Web server) is acting as a gateway or proxy to fulfil the request by the client (e.g. your Web browser or our CheckUpDown robot) to access the requested URL. This server received an invalid response from an upstream server it accessed to fulfil the request. This usually does not mean that the upstream server is down (no response to the gateway/proxy), but rather that the upstream server and the gateway/proxy do not agree on the protocol for exchanging data. Given that Internet protocols are quite clear, it often means that one or both machines have been incorrectly or incompletely programmed. any help? cheers barry.b -----Original Message----- From: Barry Moore [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Friday, 1 August 2003 4:30 PM To: CFAussie Mailing List Subject: [cfaussie] Strange error Has anyone seen an error 502 "Bad Gateway invalid response from upstream server" Barry Moore --- You are currently subscribed to cfaussie as: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] MX Downunder AsiaPac DevCon - http://mxdu.com/ --- You are currently subscribed to cfaussie as: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] MX Downunder AsiaPac DevCon - http://mxdu.com/
