Yeah I've got a 120 Gig Firewire HDD for my laptop. no noticeable speed issues so far, XP recognises it straight away. I'd recommend it if you need to take the drive with you (Laptop) or if you want to share between non networked machines. The reason I got it is the limitation of 30 gigs HDD on my laptop
