AFAIK

Flash Remoting can only call cfcs that reside under the web root, whether they physically reside there or are virtually there.

If you don't want to put them in that location you might like to consider using a facade as per this article:

Does anyone know if you can change the location of "/flashservices/gateway" ?? At the moment you need to place all CFCs within the WEB-INF/wwwroot/ folder..
