hmmm... still no explaination of why the word "argument"

I mean "C" (language) came after "B"

"C++" operators (extentions) of C

parameters: values that define the working range (boundries) of the
functionality when required

but "arguments" ?

States the origin is from LISP one of the first functional programing 
languages which borrowed it from mathematics.

Although Fortran had the concept of functions and it's older than LISP. 
[Although I think they were called routines and subroutines? but not 100%
sure]
