Subject: [cfaussie] IsNumeric limitations ?

I tried this code just now, and it does the opposite of what one would
expect.

<CFIF NOT IsNumeric("Input1")><CFSET Input1 = '0'></CFIF> #Input1#

Input1 is text, and comes in through a javascript prompt. The idea is to set
to zero any input which isn't a number.

But both numbers and text always produces #Input1# as zero.

Have I come up against some sort of limitation of the IsNumeric function ?
If so, is there another straightforward method of performing an IsNumeric
test ?
