Hi all,

I am collecting a viewers IP address and storing it as a session variable to assist in tracking on a site I am working on. I have all the code working properly, collecting the remote IP, checking to see if it exists then setting the session and all the locks.

What I was wondering, is there any way that a viewer can block or hide their IP address from being collected by the server? If so, should I use a cfcatch, cftry combination and if the session can not be set, create a generic issued one just for the system, then alter the code so they can not use some of the features of the site.

Hope this makes sense.

Thanks in advance,
Blake
