Hi Gary,

It doesn't have an installer because it doesn't need one - you just copy the
Mozilla Firebird directory from the zip to somewhere on your hard drive and
create a shortcut to the exe file.

I've never had a problem on Win2K Pro or WinXP Pro - what kind of errors did
you get?

So... a couple of weeks back - I did just this.

I installed it (without having a clue what I was doing - very few
instructions - no real installer - or nothing obvious). And then it would
not work. Got errors, never managed to even see the UI.

So then I uninstalled it.

However, given that we are in the process of a complete site re-design
(finally) I would really like to run Firebird to test things.

If anyone has any pointers to what I might be doing wrong (Windows 2000
Pro machine) please email me off list.
