try http://www.somedomain.com/someDir/somePage.cfm/var/value/var/value.cfm Had problems with IIS in this way and appending .cfm meant that IIS 'knew' to pass it to ColdFusion Might work in JRUN - can't test it g'luck! - James -----Original Message----- From: Steve Onnis [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Tuesday, September 23, 2003 5:39 PM To: CFAussie Mailing List Subject: [cfaussie] Serach Engine Friendly URLs Just a question for anyone who is running CFMX 6.1 for JRUN. I recently encountered a problem with serach engine friendly urls. I had a client who was running urls that looked like http://www.somedomain.com/someDir/somePage.cfm/var/value/var/value. Now I actually uninstalled my default CFMX installation and installed the CFMX for JRUN version cause of the cool stuff Robin showed up. I ran some tests on my install of CFMX using the above url format, and the page errored with a 404 (Page could not be found) error message. I then tested the same format on a CF5 box and it worked no problem. I then told the client that the url format didnt work under CFMX, and was then told that heaps of people are using it. After looking around, I found that people WERE using it. So why the hell wasnt it working for me? So I tested it on a box that I know couldnt have the JRUN install on it (cause it was CFMX PRO) and it worked. Is this a known issue or is something not set up correctly on my JRUN install to allow urls like this to work?
