Lonely Planet, the world's largest independent travel publisher, currently has an exciting opportunity for an experienced ColdFusion Developer to join our Global Applications team based in Melbourne's inner west. The position will be for a period of 3 months, with the possibility of extension.

 

The successful candidate will need the following skillset:

 

*           Proficiency of ColdFusion

*           Proficiency of PostgreSQL

           Proficiency in XML, _javascript_, HTML

           Proficiency in Internet application design

           Proficiency in Unicode requirements

           Excellent knowledge of database design

           Experience and understanding of Content Management Systems

           Ability to lead team members throughout SDLC

           Initiative and the ability to work independently

           Excellent organisational skills, to manage several projects at the same time

           Ability to communicate with different entities of the company, both locally and internationally

           Ability to give feedback and come up with solutions to solve design problems

           Excellent written and verbal communication skills

            

 

Desirable:

 

           Working knowledge of Java and Object Orientated Methodology

           Working knowledge of UML

           Working knowledge of Linux Operating System
