I have the same problem at home with my Outlook 2002, I don't think (although I am not sure) that it is Outlook itself. It's usually when I have a lot of mail to download on several accounts, so I reckon because of the traffic from the other accounts that have already established a connection to the mail server the others simply won't get through. But that's just a thought. Do you have more than one account or just one? I haven't paid much attention to it (although it is annoying) because it always goes away when I wait and click several times on remember password.
