I read your message and said "yes, yes, of course, it's always a struct"
and then I put together a separate simplified page to demonstrate the
problem and the simplified page is working... so the problem must be
something else!

And Geoff, yes, it is a wizard-style form. I've got the same
Fusebox-serverside-validation-form-reuse-with-no-persistant-scoped-vars
thing working pretty nicely elsewhere, but I'm always open to a better way
of doing things :)  I'm checking out those links now...
