#query.column[RandRange(1,query.recordCount)]#

That should do it for you

basically you can reference the rows by their index, and what I am doing is getting a random number between 1 and the total records and using that as its index

Subject: [cfaussie] Jumping to a row in a query

Hi all,

Is there any quick way to jump to a random row in a query ?

have a series of records of which I want to randomly display 1 on the page.

Thanks
