Claude I believe that this is actually a great idea.

The real reason why this happens is "spam".

Live with it as new email programs like Outlook 2003 will deliberately block the download of images in emails. I love it. No more tits or dicks!

But I can opt to download the images in the messages easily.

Claude, blame the spammers, they have screwed it up for all of us.

Subject: [cfaussie] CFMAIL and HOTMAIL

I am creating a newsletter which is emailed out using cfmail to a listing of  subscribers

The content of the cfmail consists of html code which displays both text and images

When the email newsletter is received by a normal email program such as outlook all is fine

when the email is received by hotmail and retrieved via hotmail web interface none of the images display

yes I am using type-html in the cfmail syntax and image source code referencing the images is fully referenced to the website location of the images http://www.etc

Kind Regards
