hmm - that doesn't seem that unreasonable. (Well maybe it is, but recently experienced 
a similar thing on sql7.0 so I wouldn't expect 2k to be that much better)  Think I 
ended up doing it through query analyser as it seems to be more stable when you do big 
things.

I hope that's not a production server? ;-)

Hey all,

I've got a table with about 800,000 records in it, I was experimenting
with indexes and added a clustered and a non-clustered index to the
table. Now want to delete the indexes, but its taking ages... Its been
about 30 minutes so far, and it looks like Enterprise Manager has hung
while trying to save the change. Should this operation take this long?
Or has something gone wrong with the DB?

This is on MS SQL Server 2000 by the way.
