Hey all, I'm trying to set up a DTS task on a remote server to import a text file on a regular basis for a site. This is in MS SQL 2000 by the way...
When I connect to the server and go to specify the source file, its giving me the directory tree of my local machine, instead of the server. Once the task gets going, my machine won't exist so why is it trying to reference a file on my machine? How do I get it to reference a local text file? If I type the path to the file, it doesn't let me OK the dialog box, as it says it can't find the file. Can anyone explain this great mystery?
