Not in the way in which you may use that type of functionality in
something like DBase.

<CFOUTPUT> has STARTROW and MAXROWS that can be used when outputting
<CFQUERY> data.  You can use this to page groups of records (the group -
MAXROWS - can be 1).

Another member of this list also theoretically demonstrated how queries
could be constructed to only return the number of records you wanted from
the point you wanted them (search the archive for this) but I was not able
to get the method to work effectively (so it may not work across all SQL
databases) - and there was some question as to the performance of the
nested queries that were being used.

Working out PREVIOUS would be a matter of remembering where you are up to
in the record set.

NEXT would be remembering where you are up to and just setting STARTROW to
be one more than where you are.


QUESTION: what are you actually trying to do?  (sometimes it is better to 
describe what you are trying to achieve and then the group is better able
to provide CF/MX best practice).
