Our next scheduled meeting for the
Victorian ColdFusion User Group will be this Thursday, the 20th of
May, at VTR Consulting starting at 7:00pm.

Consulting is located in Roseneath Place, off Market Street,

This week Aaron Christiansen will doing a CFML
Analyser presentation.
"Helium" - CFML Analyser
The first application in a suite of tools called "Atomic Toolkit" -
developer tools to make your programming job easier.
Features: Helium will analyse any CFML-based application or website
source code and display a summary report outlining:
* queries - broken
down into tables accessed, query names used and query types (select,
insert, update etc)
* dependencies - any files used, included or
referenced from within the application
* images - all images
referenced within the application
Benefits: Projects get big, can
be worked on by more than one person, or are inherited, long after their
initial creation. 80% of development effort is spent on maintaining an
application - but can you remember where everything is? Where all the
database access points are? Which custom tags, CFCs, cfmodules or include
files are used and where?
In an instant (600+ files, 1.36MB of CFML code in 1 second), Helium can
retrieve all this information and then show you where - in a built-in
syntax-highlighted CFML code viewer.
To make the eveing even more interesting I invite you to bring along
zipped applications for demonstration purposes.
Also, there will be giveaways from the MXDU Conference ... books, bags,
and miscellaneous paraphernalia.
After the meeting we can go to
one of the many pubs about the place for a drink or a feed.
