I'm trying to create a datasource from CF adminstrator to point to an oracle database. In trying to make the connection its telling me that the SID is invalid, so I can not connect, even though its the correct SID value entered.
the sid is correct, as its the installation value given. the ip to oracle is correct as I can ping it. the username&password are correct for the db.
Currenty Oracle 8i runs on an NT box, with CFMX running on a solaris box.
- Would anyone know what files to look at within the oracle setup to check the SID value?
- Know of any problems in having a setup as described above?
- come across this problem and resolved the issue?
