Hey, I've set up CFMX to Oracle datasources before, and not had a huge issue - but I'll check some things with you first.
1) You using Enterprise or Pro? (Pro requires some work to Oracle to work with it, but if can be done) 2) Have you got the right port setting, that one can sometimes throw you off. 3) You should have the Oracle client installed on your machine. If you can connect through that, the details your require for that will be in the 'Network Manager' (I think, I've forgotten the name, but it's in the Oracle client programs). But generally hookup b/w Enterprise CFMX and Oracle is a breeze.
