Well - as I said I am not an SP guru (and there may be no more point in discussing this because I dont understand how you are using them) - but if you only want to provide the last parameter my question would be "why aren't the first 19 important?".

Meaning, it sounds as though the SP has been written so it can have many parameters with "default" values - but you are only providing a value for the last.

If you were doing this regularly, I would suggest that the LAST parameter be moved to be the FIRST parameter - OR - that another SP with just that parameter (and the others specified as defaults inside the SP) would be appropriate.

This, of course, assumes that you are in control of the SP's and they aren't part of a 3rd party product.
