>> What if i set the Rect.xMin = NaN?
Well it doesn't take a rocket scientist to work that out!!! I posted that snippet because Sean made a statement that MM adhere to best practices and adhere to using getters/setters well did anyone notice that that code did not have any getters/setters just constructors and the ability to use the variable outside the class file. My point is simple!! Best practices are not always the best way to do things, that is why it is called best practices. But how many people really actually adhere to best practices. Don't attack me because I have a situation where I don't need to encapsulate, don't attack me because I believe in a different approach when I think I need to keep code to a minimum. Don't attack me for also coding in these best practices when it absolutely is necessary to do so. And DON'T attack me for showing situations where best practices are not necessary!! Because you would then be condemning the jobs of the people that wrote the snippet of code I posted, because they did not adhere to best practices and Sean would not hire these people yet he would let them already work there! I think I have said enough, you people can take it anyway you like. Its not damn law, it's a guideline for pete's sake:-) --- You are currently subscribed to cfaussie as: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Aussie Macromedia Developers: http://lists.daemon.com.au/
