I have been using it for a few weeks now running on Debian and it's been simply put great. Configuration took a wee while, but it's been well worth the effort. As for the function reference, check out the CFML compatibility guide and look at section 5.1. 5.2.3 will be of particular interest if you are working with dates, as it is pretty limited. I know that there will be an update to 6.2 out in October (ish) that will fix a few more incompatibilities between BD and CFMX (support try/catch in cfscript to mention but one).
