I have obviously upset Leon.

Sorry Leon. I must think differently to you.

And yes, I read the taunts but don't see any need to reply to them.
There are obviously enough people around who know my history with CF
and CFMX as well as the rest of my development history to not judge me
so harshly without asking me why.

And Scott has sort of asked the "why".

The only answer I can give (which will probably not safisfy everyone)
is "experience". I don't consider myself "old school" but I have
found over time that the people that seem to produce the best results
have a common background behind them. I believe I have identified
that common background, have convinced the company it is worth paying
more for that, and that is how we are going.

As far as "java worshipping" is concerned, I have been a big disliker
of Java (as an architecture - not as an OO paradigm) for a long time.
But it is a "real" object oriented language. And like Scott, given
that CFMX is built on Java, there may be scope during the up-coming
developments to drop down into Java either for performance or for
connectivity issues.

It's strange Scott. You and I are probably much more alike than we
ever may have thought.

Want a job ?

Regards,
Gary
