Hi all
It must the day of the crash - just rolled into work and my CFMX 6.1
Enterprise on Windows 2000 had stopeed
This happened a few months ago and I did complete re-install of the
that and all the sundries bits to do with the JRun.
Before I say how I solved it, the past fix was to copy the entire JRUN
folder to another drive, reinstall a new copy of JRUN, then copy bits
from the orginal into the new JRUN server. I can now have a complete
rebuild done within about 40 minutes and a very accurate 'fix manual' to
do it.
I did not want to do that again so it tried the following after getting
the following boot error for CFMX (Jrun admin started fine)
in the jrun/logs/cfusion-event.log, I got
17/06 17:05:22 error
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError

implying that CF would not boot
So
1) shutdown CF service via windows services panel
2) remove all files in
JRUN4/servers/cfusion/server-inf/temp
JRun4\servers\cfusion\cfusion-ear\cfusion-war\WEB-INF\cfclasses
4) restart
It certainly beats do a re-install.
