I'm sorry for the off-topic post, but I'm at my wits end here ... I've
been worrying away at this problem since last Thursday and I'm not
much further advanced than when I started.

I need some help with some dynamic text in FlashMX2004PRo, but none of
the tutorials I've looked at have been any help. (It's amazing how
poor most of them are: a lot dont say what version of flash they
refer to, a lot dont give any reasons for the code they describe,
it's just a "add this" then 'add that" without explaining, and far
too many are unreadable becuase they are all 'arty' and tiny, dark
text on a black background). Anyway, I've spent 22 hours this
weekend, searching the tutorials and books without seeing anything
that comes close.

Can anyone suggest where I can look for FlashMX2004 help, or volunteer
to help me please?

Here are the places I've searched tutorials so far, and I've asked for
help on some of the forums here, but no response at all so far::
