Yes I have done this before, the customer will only ever see the aussie $ ammount on your site. before it sends them to the payment page you simply have "you will now be charged 10AUD$ in USD$ which is blahUSD$" of cos you would use better grammar then that lol. but if its a big client you wouldnt use this method, and if its a big client they would have a bigger budget and be able to spend a k on a merchant facility. I only ever did the paypal 1 for a non profit site.
